Computer Lab Supervisor - Downtown

Are you passionate about empowering others through technology and providing access to essential resources? Join us as a Volunteer Computer Lab Supervisor at our Downtown Community Impact Centre! You will help our guests with their technical needs such as searching for jobs, sending resumes to employers, looking up directions or connecting with family and friends. Your support will make a significant difference in their ability to navigate the digital world and improve their lives.

Responsibilities:
- Assist guests with using computers, internet access, and software applications for job searches, email communication, and other essential tasks.
- Provide guidance and support to guests who may have limited technical skills or experience with digital devices.
- Monitor the computer lab area, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all users.
- Sanitize workstations and equipment regularly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Manage the sign-up for computer access, ensuring fair usage and timely rotation among guests.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in using computers, internet browsers, and basic software applications.
- Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing clear instructions and support to guests.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace, including adherence to health and safety protocols.

Shifts:
Mondays 9:00am - 12:00pm | 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Tuesdays 12:00pm - 3:00pm | 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Wednesdays 9:00am - 12:00pm | 12:00pm - 3:00pm | 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Thursdays 12:00pm - 3:00pm | 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Fridays 12:00pm - 3:00pm | 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age. 
- Must commit to volunteering weekly for a minimum of 4 months 
- Must complete a volunteer agreement form. 
- Must complete a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector search.
- Must be approved by Mustard Seed staff.
