MPC Fdn is a grassroots, volunteer-based organization whose singular mission is to mitigate & prevent social isolation for seniors & older adults. Social isolation is a prime trigger for mental health issues. Our work is centred on removing barriers to social inclusion and by doing so we improve quality of life, enhance coping skills and increase older adults' potential to contribute to society. We empower them with skills, tools, resources & opportunities to learn, play & connect. We achieve these goals by:
■ Creating inclusive social hubs to have meaningful interactions, build social network & sense of belonging
■ Providing opportunities to be active contributors to society
■ Delivering programs & services that are senior-centric; taking into account their language & cultural needs.
■ Create inclusive & welcoming environments with staff, volunteers & facilitators of varied ethnic origins & language proficiencies.
■ Remove barriers to access by providing services in ethnic languages, online delivery to improve access for those with transportation issues and free access to all services.
■ Build collaborative working relations with community partners to achieve collective impact.
