Living Wage Employment Advisor

Job summary:
We’re looking for advisors to support an innovative, one-of-a-kind pilot project!
As one of the biggest cost centers for many businesses, we know fair compensation is complex. This pilot aims to illuminate the pathway to living wage employment. We’ll be working with 3-5 cleaning companies who are eager to try the benefits of paying a living wage.
Advisors are a vital component of the program, providing tailored support to business owners to identify strategic opportunities to improve business performance, and make living wages more accessible. From there, participants will develop a comprehensive compensation strategy that outlines their own unique path to living wages. Advisors may have expertise across many domains in business – accounting, finance, financing, human resources, operations, social purpose, and impact measurement – just to name a few.

Duties/Responsibilities
•	 Work one-on-one with participants of the Living Wage Pilot as needed to support them in the advisor’s domain of expertise, with the goal of supporting the ultimate development of an actionable, achievable compensation strategy for paying living wages.
o	Approximate time commitment is expected to be 1-2 hours/week.
o	Advisors will work with multiple participants based on a support plan reviewed on a bi-monthly basis.
o	Advisors may review materials provided by participants and provide strategic recommendations, but the creation of deliverables is the responsibility of participants.
•	Meet virtually with other advisors in the program once per month to share experiences, support one another, and build capacity for living wage support.
•	Contribute to learnings and reflection on the pilot as requested.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications 
•	Have expert level knowledge in their domain of expertise (most urgently seeking accounting and finance, financing, HR, operations, social purpose, and impact measurement expertise).
•	Are comfortable making strategic recommendations.
•	Have previous experience working with small businesses.

•	Care about community and making an impact in poverty reduction.

Required Paperwork

•	Volunteer Engagement at Momentum requires completion of paperwork. This will be provided by the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator*
