Make a Difference in the Lives of Vulnerable Children, Youth, and Families

Join the Board of
McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association
(Calgary & Area)

McMan Calgary & Area supports over 4,000 vulnerable children, youth, and families each year—helping those impacted by mental health challenges, addictions, homelessness, poverty, and disabilities. We deliver compassionate, relationship-based services that promote resilience and long-term success.

We are one of four autonomous regions within McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association, a provincial nonprofit founded in 1975. Each region operates independently under the guidance of a local Board of Directors.

At McMan Calgary, our focus is on creating lasting, supportive connections. We walk alongside the people we serve, empowering them to build relationships that extend beyond our programs and strengthen their place in the community.

We are currently seeking Board Members who are committed to strengthening communities and passionate about McMan Calgary’s mission. We welcome individuals who bring professional expertise or lived experience in one or more of the following areas:

•	Fund development and fundraising
•	Legal expertise
•	Executive compensation and HR management
•	Government relations
•	Academic or professional background in mental health, addictions, and/or youth homelessness
•	Finance and accounting
•	Indigenous learning, knowledge, and community engagement

We are especially interested in candidates who:

•	Believe deeply in McMan Calgary’s mission and values
•	Demonstrate community leadership and collaborative spirit
•	Are active contributors to thoughtful discussion and shared decision-making
•	Are able to attend 6–8 board meetings per year and participate on at least one committee
•	Are open to learning and participating in board orientation and development
•	Are willing to attend and support McMan Calgary events and fundraising activities
