Donation Sorters: Clothing, Housewares, Linens

Calgary MCC Thrift Shop is always looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team. By volunteering with us, you’ll do more than support a retail store, you’ll help people in need locally and globally through the work of Mennonite Central Committee. Volunteering is a meaningful way to build your resume, develop new skills, serve with purpose, and form lasting friendships. There are many reasons to volunteer with us and many ways to get involved.

Available Departments

Clothing

You'll be tagging and pricing already sorted clothes, following the price list to ensure consistency, and you will also be using your knowledge of good quality clothing to include in our boutique line if needed. Help others create a cool wardrobe! 

Housewares

Here you'll be sorting household items, do light cleaning if needed, testing electrical appliances, and pricing them! Every box that you open is a mystery, you might find something you have never seen before or a very nostalgic item from your childhood!

Linens

Here you will help sort and price linens (quilts, towels, bedding, etc.) that can elevate people's home for a low cost!

No prior retail experience is required. Training is provided.
