Are you looking for a meaningful way to contribute to our community and support the spiritual well-being of your fellow Muslims? Join our dedicated Jumuaa Setup & Takedown Team and play a vital role in ensuring a smooth, comfortable, and organized environment for our weekly congregational prayers.

Role Overview:

The Jumuaa Setup & Takedown Team is responsible for preparing the prayer hall before Jumuaa services and efficiently restoring it to its original state afterward. This crucial role ensures that our community has a clean, welcoming, and appropriately configured space for prayer, allowing attendees to focus on their worship without distractions.

Key Responsibilities:

Setup (Pre-Jumuaa):
- Arranging prayer mats and establishing clear rows for congregants.
- Setting up sound equipment (microphones, speakers) and ensuring proper functionality.
- Placing and organizing chairs.
- Ensuring designated areas for men and women are clearly marked and prepared.
- Assisting with any other logistical needs to prepare the prayer space.

Takedown (Post-Jumuaa):
- Neatly rolling up/folding and storing prayer mats.
- Disassembling and storing sound equipment.
- Collecting and organizing chairs.
- Light tidying of the prayer hall (e.g., picking up stray papers, ensuring cleanliness).
- Returning the space to its standard configuration for other uses.
Time Commitment:

Approximately 30-45 minutes before Jumuaa and 15-20 minutes after Jumuaa prayers on Fridays. Volunteers will sign up for the shifts they are available.

Skills & Qualities We're Looking For:
- Reliability & Punctuality: Consistency is key to ensuring the smooth flow of Jumuaa.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with other volunteers.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable with light lifting, bending, and moving items (e.g., prayer mats, sound equipment).
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring the prayer space is set up and taken down meticulously.
- Positive Attitude: A willingness to serve and contribute to a positive atmosphere.
