Volunteer Unit Assistant

The Volunteer Unit Assistant will provide support and companionship to residents on the unit. This may include focusing on specific residents identified by the clinical team who are experiencing loneliness, isolation etc. The Unit Assistant may also assist with activities such as: • Answering call bells to confirm residents are aware their needs are being acknowledged. • Reporting residents’ concerns e.g. pain etc.to staff • Encouraging and supporting residents with activities such as hand hygiene. • Portering residents to activities and appointments. Volunteers will follow all policies and procedures. Please note we still require proof of the first two covid vaccines
