Gardener
A volunteer or small group of volunteers is need to tend the garden at Chinook Hospice. Having a beautiful garden increases the quality of life for both patients and families. The garden consists of pots and flower beds and sitting areas. The volunteer would be responsible for planting, watering, deadheading, weeding and generally looking after the garden area.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Availability for most of the summer appreciated. Volunteers must be healthy and able to work in flower beds on ground level. Must be physically able to complete garden tasks.
Certification or Education Required
Experience in gardening and plant care. most of the plants are in pots but there is some maintenance of flower beds. Volunteers will plant the pots in late May or early June and maintain the garden space through to fall.
