As a Crossing Guard volunteer, you’ll help maintain a safe environment for students moving across the park grounds—especially at train crossings.

Duties include:

Stopping foot traffic as needed when trains approach
Being alert and aware of surroundings
Keeping things organized and cheerful with a “firm but fun” approach
Referring any issues to a staff member

🧢 What to Wear & Bring

Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing: casual pants or jeans (no rips), a shirt with sleeves (must cover the midriff), comfortable shoes, and outerwear suited to the forecast. A hat and sunscreen are recommended for sunny days.
Closed-toe shoes (no sandals)
Hat, sunscreen, and refillable water bottle
We’ll provide a yellow safety vest and volunteer name badge at check-in

⚠️ Risk Considerations

Outdoor environment with exposure to weather
Uneven ground may lead to slips or trips
