Foothills Creative Beginnings

Operating as a non-profit society, Foothills Creative Beginnings (FCB) has been successfully delivering early childhood learning services in Calgary and area since 1983. FCB provides Preschool, Kindergarten and Special Needs support to over 400 children aged 2.6 to 6 years.
Our preschool is licensed by Calgary and Area Child and Family Services. We offer an integrated program following a developmental and creative approach to educating young children. The Kindergarten is authorized and funded by Alberta Education, and offers a curriculum approved by Alberta Education.
Our Special Needs services partner with and are overseen by the Early Learning Program, Department of Education, of the Government of Alberta. FCB provides a range of therapy services, such as speech, physical, occupational or psychological services to children assessed with needs. FCB is able to access Alberta Education’s PUF funding (Program Unit Funding) for young children who have been identified with a severe disability/delay and Mild-Moderate funding for children with mild to moderate delays in one area such as speech or motor development.
