Family Advocacy Support Centre

The Family Advocacy Support Centre (FASC) is committed to empowering families and disrupting the intergenerational cycle of child welfare involvement. FASC envisions a future where families can ask for help without the fear of discrimination, intrusive intervention or family separation. Their mission is to reduce barriers and increase access to legal information, advocacy, and resources. They strive to help parents understand their rights and responsibilities and increase their knowledge and confidence when dealing with Child and Family Services (CFS). Their programs include providing legal information and advocacy services for parents, public legal education sessions and professional training, and peer groups for caregivers impacted by the child welfare system. Through these initiatives, FASC works to empower families, foster a more just system, and strengthen the ecosystems of support.
