Social Media Coordinator

As the FallCon Gaming Society gears up for our annual convention August 21-23, 2026 at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, we are seeking another Social Media Communications Coordinator to join our Organizing Team. THE ROLE - Work with the Communications Director to deliver on the marketing and communications strategy. - Assist with content creation and social media posting (design social media graphics, templates, capture videos depending on experience and interest.) - Focus on marketing Badge sales, Exhibitors, and Venue information. - Collaborate with the social media team to maintain the content calendar. - Coordinate website content updates with Web Developers. - Collaborate to create marketing posters and convention signage - Attend monthly Organizing team meetings or share updates to be included in the meeting. ABOUT YOU Must have: - Experience using Canva for content creation. - Experience with Meta Business Suite for Facebook and Instagram. - A love of board gaming / tabletop gaming (cards, TTRPG, miniatures, etc.) is a strong asset. - Ability to collaborate and work well with a team of volunteers. Nice to have: - Experience in the communications and social media field (work experience, education, and/or previous volunteer role). - Basic graphic design skills, experience with Canva, Illustrator, etc. - Photography and videography skills an asset. Please plan to attend the FallCon 39 convention August 21-23, 2026, in Calgary. Volunteer time from June to August 20th can be done remotely.

Please feel welcome to volunteer from across Alberta; preference will be given to those who can attend our convention August 21-23, 2026, in Calgary. Training will be provided.
