About Enral Education Enral Education is a Canadian nonprofit dedicated to supporting children’s emotional development, cultural identity, and sense of belonging. Our programs are designed for children ages 3–8 from immigrant and multicultural families, with an initial focus on Muslim immigrant and second-generation families in urban Canada. Through Montessori-inspired learning, storytelling, creative expression, practical life activities, and social-emotional development, Enral Education helps children build confidence, cultural connection, and a strong sense of identity in a supportive learning environment. As we grow our weekend, after-school, and summer programs, we are seeking committed volunteer Board Members to help guide the organization’s governance, strategy, and long-term impact. Position Overview Enral Education is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Volunteer Treasurer to support the organization’s financial oversight and accountability. The Treasurer will help manage financial records, support budgeting, and provide financial updates to the Board of Directors. This role is ideal for someone interested in finance, accounting, nonprofit management, governance, or community-based education. The Treasurer will support Enral Education by: Maintaining accurate financial records Tracking income, expenses, donations, and program costs Preparing basic financial reports for board meetings Supporting annual budgeting and financial planning Helping ensure responsible use of organizational funds Advising the board on financial decisions Supporting grant, sponsorship, and fundraising financial tracking Assisting with year-end reporting or tax-related documents when needed Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Comfortable working with numbers and basic financial records Able to explain financial information clearly Professional and able to maintain confidentiality Interested in nonprofit governance, education, or community work Experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, or Excel/Google Sheets is an asset, but not required.
