We rely on the passion and dedication of volunteers to help us achieve our mission and make a meaningful impact in the arts and design community.

ROLE OVERVIEW
d.talks / Design Week Calgary is seeking a volunteer with strong experience in digital advertising to manage and optimize our Google Ads and YouTube Ads campaigns. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is confident working across the full ad stack and wants to contribute their expertise to a nonprofit focused on design, art, and culture.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? 
Plan, launch, and optimize Google Ads and YouTube Ads campaigns
Manage keyword research, targeting, ad copy, and creative development
Track campaign performance, analyze results, and refine strategies
Ensure campaigns follow current best practices and platform guidelines
Collaborate with the d.talks marketing team to align with overall outreach goals
Share brief updates and performance insights every two weeks

WHAT SKILLS DO WE NEED? 
Demonstrated experience running Google Ads and YouTube Ads campaigns
Understanding of audience segmentation, A/B testing, and performance metrics
Ability to work independently and deliver consistent results
Strong communication and organization skills

NICE TO HAVE
Google Ads certification
Experience with nonprofit or cultural organizations
Familiarity with SEO or landing page optimization
