General Volunteers are the backbone of the Black Business Summit. This is a dynamic role where specific duties will be confirmed upon your onboarding, allowing us to match tasks to your skills, interests, and the immediate needs of the event. While ideal candidates will be located in Calgary or the broader Alberta region, we are completely open to volunteers from any location who can assist remotely in the lead-up to the event. There is the opportunity of a $150 honorarium. Designed for Black immigrant entrepreneurs and business owners, the summit will bring together 100 attendees for keynote presentations, panel discussions, a vendor marketplace, networking, live entertainment, and refreshments. The summit is free to attend and is being organized for the first time. It is a milestone event that reflects the collective effort of a small, dedicated team, making the Volunteer Coordinator role critical to its success.
