Volunteer Event Coordinator

Help CBEE Prairies plan and deliver welcoming, organized, and impactful events that connect Black entrepreneurs, elders, youth, community leaders, and partners. What You Will Do · Support planning for workshops, networking sessions, cultural events, community forums, and program activities. · Create and maintain event workplans, timelines, checklists, run-of-show documents, and task assignments. · Coordinate logistics such as venue or virtual platform, registration, speakers, vendors, volunteers, supplies, accessibility, and participant communications. · Work with the Graphic Designer and Social Media Coordinator on promotional timelines and materials. · Communicate with speakers, partners, vendors, and volunteers using approved information and agreements. What We Are Looking For · Strong organization, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to manage several deadlines and details without losing sight of the participant experience. · Comfort working collaboratively and remaining calm when plans change. · Ability to use shared calendars, spreadsheets, documents, and virtual meeting/event tools. Required Qualifications · Strong organization, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to manage several deadlines and details without losing sight of the participant experience. · Comfort working collaboratively and remaining calm when plans change. · Ability to use shared calendars, spreadsheets, documents, and virtual meeting/event tools. · Commitment to inclusive, accessible, culturally respectful events.
