Volunteer Puppy Raisers (Various durations available!)

Ongoing
Do you love dogs? We need you! Puppy raising is a rewarding volunteer opportunity filled with unconditional love that changes many lives – including yours!

Volunteers are a critical part of our guide dog program. Guide dogs are partners in mobility and independence for people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision. By offering a safe and loving home, puppy raisers are instrumental in nurturing and preparing young pups for their future role as guide dogs.

With support from amazing CNIB Guide Dog staff, you'll help a pup learn good home and social behaviors, teach them basic obedience, and introduce them to new environments.

CNIB Guide Dogs covers the costs of all veterinary care, equipment and dog food.

We are actively seeking volunteers in Vancouver (BC), Victoria (BC), Calgary (AB), Winnipeg (MB), Toronto (ON), Georgina (ON), Ottawa & Carleton Place (ON), and Halifax (NS).

We offer short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities.
