Aqua Therapy for Adults

This program provides rehabilitative exercises through aquatic therapy techniques combined with WATSU® techniques to help promote increased range in motion, mobility, and circulation. Under the direction of a certified Aqua Therapist and WATSU® Practitioner, parents/caregivers are taught how to hold, interact, practice stretching exercises, and gentle massage techniques to achieve goals. Participants' activities are modified to suit their specific needs. Each individual receives one-on-one attention in a group setting. The program is hosted in a warm water pool to increase the benefits of Aqua Therapy.
*Must be 18 or older to volunteer.

Volunteer duties include:

Poolside setup of water wheelchairs and activity supplies.

Assist clients and caregivers in the pool with direction for the Aqua Therapist.

Pool location is tentatively Vivo, but subject to change. This program runs Tuesdays, 1-2pm pm from Mar 3 - Apr 7 .
