Tax Clinic Receptionist Volunteer
Primary Location: Village Commons, 610 8th Ave SE and Bowmont Commons, 5000 Bowness Rd NW Schedule: Monday to Thursday Available Shift: 09:00am to 12:30pm, or 12:30pm to 3:30pm Commitment: March 2, 2026 – April 30, 2026 Volunteers may select either the morning or afternoon shift and can choose to volunteer on one or more days per week (Monday through Thursday) based on availability. Reporting to The Way In Supervisor and Financial Wellness Facilitator, Tax Clinic Receptionist Volunteers meet with clients at Village Commons or Bowmont Commons who come to drop off their tax forms. The volunteers ensure that clients have filled out all the necessary paperwork for the Tax Clinic Filers to proceed with their taxes.
Certification or Education Required
• Must be in good standing with the CRA. • Must have filed personal taxes at least once. • Exceptional attention to detail. • Proven ability to manage time-sensitive information accurately and efficiently. • Warm, cheerful, and friendly personality, with a strong sense of curiosity and care. • Comfortable, open, and respectful when working with people from diverse backgrounds, embracing different life experiences, cultures, identities, beliefs, and values.
