CanLearn is Recruiting Board Members!

Calgary, AB [map]
Ongoing
CanLearn is seeking compassionate, community‑minded leaders who care deeply about literacy, learning, and mental wellness. If you want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, youth, and adults across Calgary, we would love to meet you.

As a board member, you’ll help guide an organization that empowers people facing challenges with learning, literacy, attention, and related mental health concerns. Your leadership will support programs that open doors, build confidence, and create lasting change for individuals and families in our community.

We are especially hoping to welcome individuals with strengths in:

Human Resources — people who understand how to support, develop, and care for teams.

Finance — steady, thoughtful financial stewards who can help guide responsible growth.

Governance — leaders who value clarity, accountability, and strong organizational foundations.

Cybersecurity & IT — professionals who can help us protect our systems and strengthen digital resilience.

Fund & Resource Development — relationship‑builders who can help expand our reach and sustain our programs.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
To join CanLearn’s Board, members must live in Canada and be located in the Greater Calgary area. Because we work closely with children, youth, and adults, all board members are required to provide a clear Police Information Check.

Our board meets in person, and members commit to a three‑year term. This helps us build strong relationships, continuity, and a shared sense of purpose as we guide CanLearn’s mission together.
