Vision Mate - Wainwright

Do you have just 1–2 hours a week to spare? Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back? The CNIB Vision Mate Program is seeking a caring volunteer in Wainwright to brighten the week of a local individual living with vision loss.

They  looking for a kind, friendly volunteer who can help them stay motivated and connected. Someone whom they can look forward to visiting with regularly.

A bit about the Client:

-Loves music especially gospel and classic country.

-Used to play three instruments and still has a deep passion for music

-Enjoys planting and gardening

-Loves animals especially horses

-Has some remaining vision and values gentle, encouraging companionship

What you’ll help with:

-Friendly visits and conversations

-Reading printed materials or mail

-Going for short walks or outings

-Occasional errands or helping with small everyday tasks

Who You Are:

-Kind, patient, and dependable

-Available for 1–2 hours each week

-Open to learning about vision loss and making a positive difference
