Become a Vision Mate (Edmonton)

Do you have just a couple of hours a week to spare? Join CNIB’s Vision Mate program and make a real difference in the life of someone who is blind or partially sighted right here in Edmonton.

We’re currently seeking caring, creative, and reliable volunteers to spend quality time with individuals who are passionate about the arts, enjoy light activities, and value friendly conversation.

This volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone who:

 Enjoys relaxed, engaging environments
 Is patient, friendly, and empathetic
 Can commit to about 2 hours per week at a time that works for both you and the client

As a Vision Mate, you will:

Visit with a client in their home or another agreed location
Offer companionship through conversation, games, or shared creative activities
Help foster confidence, independence, and social connection
