Calgary Vocal Festival

Calgary Vocal Festival is a new adjudicated performance opportunity for Calgary singers. This festival was formed to created a affordable and supportive environment for singers to perform in front of an adjudicator and receive valuable feedback in Musical Theatre, Classical and Contemporary classes. Dates are April 22- 24, 2024. The festival takes place at the beautiful Rosza Theatre at the University of Calgary.
We believe in offering performance opportunities in a respectful and encouraging environment, addressing the strengths and needs of each singer.
Adjudicators will give singers written and verbal feedback, award deserving performances, and provide recommendations to the provincial festival.
We will be offering Classical, Musical Theatre and Contemporary classes for beginner - advanced singers. We follow the Alberta Music Festival Association syllabus.
Volunteers are needed to make to help the festival run and to create a positive experience for our young (and some not so young!) performers.. There are opportunities to help as Greeter, Results Runner, Music Coordinator and Adjudicator Assistant. Volunteer shifts are about 3 hours each - morning, afternoon and evening. Volunteers can sign up for more than one shift and try different positions.
