Volunteer Role: Community Garden Workshop Assistant
Join us in cultivating community and green thumbs! As a Workshop Assistant, you'll help facilitate hands-on gardening sessions, support participants of all ages, and contribute to a welcoming, educational environment. Responsibilities Assist with setup and cleanup of workshop materials and planting stations Guide participants through soil prep, planting, and hydroponic techniques Provide friendly support to families and children during activities Help distribute seedlings and educational materials Capture photos (with permission) for social media and promotional use Requirements Enthusiasm for gardening and community engagement Comfortable working with children and diverse groups Able to lift light materials and stand for extended periods Available for at least two workshop dates (Oct 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, or 26) Location The Confluence, 750 9 Avenue SE, Calgary
