First Aid Event Volunteers!
Calgary Corporate Challenge (“CCC”) is a local non-profit organization that is dedicated to unifying the Calgary business community. For nearly three decades, we have brought people together through fun and inclusive team-building events that encourage participation, teamwork, and wellness. We look to inspire connectivity year round, but are best known for our annual September Games: 15 days of various sports and games with representation from over 150 companies from Calgary and the surrounding area. Finding ways to give back to the community is also a huge part of our mandate. We seek to partner with local vendors and venues to help run our events. We also support our charity partners by connecting them with local businesses through our annual Charity Challenge. We love working with the Calgary business community to promote positive interactions between organizations and industries. It truly takes a village. Together with our members, sponsors, volunteers, and community and charity partners, we can build culture and community with an impact that outlives any single event. We're looking for First Aid certified (basic) individuals who are interested in supporting us during the September Games! Our participant safety is a key concern, and while injuries are rare, we are employing a "better safe than sorry" approach to some of our higher-intensity sports (Volleyball, Basketball, Obstacle Course Race, Soccer, etc.) as well as our larger outdoor events (Family Day which consists of Truck Pull and Amazing Race, and Park Day which consists of Bocce, Cornhole, and Spikeball). If you're interested in volunteering, please email us at volunteers@calgarycorporatechallenge.com to learn more about what shifts (including dates, times, and locations) are available!
Certification or Education Required
First Aid (basic level, emergency, etc.)
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the energy that the September Games brings to the corporate community! While we hope for relatively uneventful shifts (we don't ever look forward to people being injured!!), you'll be an invaluable member of the team. CCC will provide meals for shifts over 5 hours.
