Supported Housing Volunteers

Alpha House operates several Supported Housing programs for those at various levels of recovery .  Presently Alpha House is seeking volunteers to support  and enhance  programs at these homes. We have a transitional home, a women' s building, a recovery house soon to be 2 , a mental health focused house, accessibility house, and indigenous focused house. The skills of the volunteer are key to moving forward within theses settings. Skill areas include meal cooking, baking, arts and crafts, games and engagement activities, yoga and cardio type exercise, and your engagement skills with staff and clients. Your imagination and willingness are key to helping clients flourish as you grow your skill base. Below is a elongated list of possible Volunteer needs and what you may be creating. Other tasks could include group community clean ups, weekly or bi weekly lunch or dinner, sing along and or music hour, cooking basics, budgeting skills.
Time wise 2-3 hours weekly depending on your schedule and level of commitment.
