Breast Cancer Supportive Care (BCSC) is a community based initiative committed to optimizing and integrating care for breast cancer patients and those who love and care for them. BCSC has pioneered a “whole person care” approach which is designed to support patients and their families as they experience the impact of breast cancer on their lives. Breast cancer is an illness which causes physical, mental, emotional, relational, practical and spiritual challenges to the breast cancer patient and their family members. BCSC respects the patient’s central role in their health and empowers them to embrace healing processes and wellness practices in the various dimensions of their lives.

The BCSC’s model of care works hand in hand with the current medical system so that individuals receive seamless care and are equipped to make informed decisions about their bodies, their treatment and their future. Patients at the BCSC are able to guide their own journey by addressing their concerns with a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals as they transition from illness to healing and health.
