Corner Store Volunteer

As a Corner Store  (Tuck Shop) volunteer you will help sell items to customers 
(residents, family, staff). These items include things people need and things they might want, like a snack or drink. Having a store helps residents be more independent and it is convenient. 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
•	Open and close the store, and make sure the cash is balanced
•	Talk and interact with customers who come to the store
•	The tasks are repetitive, and it may not always be busy
•	Complete the daily sales records as instructed
•	Handle cash or record purchases to residents’ accounts
•	Keep supplies organized 
•	Write down any supplies that need to be ordered

WHAT YOU NEED
•	Friendly and easy to talk to
•	Can work on your own without much help
•	Patient, kind, and reliable
•	Can understand and speak English well (most residents speak English)
•	Okay with basic math and handling money (you can use a calculator)
