Web designer-web weaver

2-15 hours / monthly

Do you have a passion for income equity and want a way to share your talents? Basic Income Calgary requires a web designer to finalize design and then update web site from time to time.
Basic Income Calgary is a grassroots organizations that includes like-minded volunteers and agency representatives promoting basic income to Calgarians. 
Update web site using WordPress. The web site is to be reorganized with new content and  graphics included. 
Proficiency in backups, updating and troubleshooting plugins, themes, and basic troubleshooting.
Capable of managing, identifying and solving common WordPress issues.
Assist in the organization, update and maintenance of the website.
Thoroughness in tasks, such as content updates and site maintenance.
Check for errors or issues including page speed, search engine visibility and responsive design for  phone and tablet users. 
Provide recommendations for search engine optimization. 
Protect against malware, spam, and vulnerabilities.
Ensure data privacy and compliance standards.
Initial web site development may be 30 hours. 
Ongoing maintenance and update content may be 1 to 4 hours per month.
