Join ARBI's Board of Directors! Every year in Alberta, thousands of individuals experience a stroke or acquired brain injury. While emergency medical care saves lives, the journey of recovery is long, complex, and often isolating. This is where ARBI plays a critical role. ARBI is a community-based charity that strives to improve the lives of individuals recovery from stroke and other brain injuries. ARBI is currently seeking volunteer board of directors. We are looking for strategic future-oriented thinkers who can work as part of a dedicated, energetic team. Board members are actively involved in organizational governance, strategic planning, policy development, sector collaboration and fundraising. They are expected to participate in at least one board committee and attend monthly meetings (alternating months for board or committee work). The Board needs various skills, however, a strong emphasis on candidates with experience in fundraising and leadership, and those connected to the brain injury survivor community is preferred. Prior experience as a Board Member of a not-for-profit organization is also preferred.
