Board Chair

The Board Chair provides strategic leadership to the Board of Directors and ensures effective governance of The Oladele Foundation. The Chair is responsible for guiding the board in fulfilling its legal, fiduciary, and strategic responsibilities while supporting, without managing, the Executive Director in advancing the organization’s mission. The Board Chair acts as a steward of good governance, a facilitator of productive board engagement, and an ambassador for the Foundation. Core Governance Responsibilities The Board Chair ensures that the Board of Directors effectively carries out its responsibilities, including: • Upholding the mission, vision, values, and strategic direction of the Foundation • Ensuring the board meets its legal, ethical, and fiduciary obligations • Leading long-term and short-term strategic planning in collaboration with the board and Executive Director • Ensuring appropriate policies are developed, reviewed, and enforced • Supporting board recruitment, orientation, development, and evaluation • Providing oversight of organizational performance and impact.
