Electronics Technician

work as needed depending on projects
The Ability Workshop Society (AWS) has an opening for a Volunteer Electronics Technician. 
We are a totally volunteer run charity that designs/adapts and creates custom equipment for those people living with a disability.  We also repair assistive technology devices, adapted toys and equipment.

Some of our projects require skill  in electronics - e.g. repairing assistive technology devices e.g. voice output devices, adapted toys etc.
Also some projects may involve creating electronic circuits, unique electronic items e.g. sound activated light system for a sensory/activity board.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Some mentoring available from other skilled volunteers. Work can be done at home. We have a small electronics area in workshop.
Certification or Education Required
•	Electronics training /working on or completed Electronics Engineering Technology Diploma
•	Be able to diagnose and fix electronic devices
•	Troubleshoot electronic CKT boards.
•	Able to design electronic CKT e.g.  adapted toys,
