Wildcoast Ecological Society

Wildcoast Ecological Society is a not-for-profit group whose aim is to conduct research, environmental restoration and stewardship activities for degraded ecosystems on the south coast of British Columbia. We strive to fulfill this aim by developing and implementing local restoration projects, involving community members in restoration activities, and by supporting community stewardship projects that protect local ecologically sensitive species and the critical habitats in which they live.
We regularly host volunteer events at sites around BC's Lower Mainland that have valuable habitat and ecosystem function in urban environments. Examples include Trout Lake in Vancouver and MacKay Creek in North Vancouver. These stewardship events include activities lead by ecologists such as invasive plant removal, native replanting and nest box building. We also offer additional training sessions, webinars, and interpretive walks for our volunteers.
Your help will make Metro Vancouver a better place for wildlife and us!
