Elementary School Program Volunteer - Great for teacher training!

Stream of Dreams is a registered charity that has been delivering eco education programs in BC elementary schools for 23 years. Our programs include delivery of a 45-minute age-appropriate education presentation to each individual class in a school followed by an art workshop with the end result of a beautiful school mural.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with our program delivery in schools around Metro Vancouver for our spring 2024 season. You would get experience teaching children from Kindergarten to Grade 7 in a variety of school districts and valuable feedback from experienced teachers. 

Volunteers would be expected to do the following:
- Show up on time (7:30-8 am depending on the school)
- Find your own transportation to/from school and our office in Burnaby, carpooling may be available at times
- Submit a police record check for the vulnerable sector and submit to us before beginning
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Our fall schedule is finalized so you can choose which schools you would like to go to if transportation is an issue as well.

Past volunteers have said that this is a perfect position for aspiring teachers as it gives the opportunity to experience different ages, school districts and teaching environments.
