Director of Software Development
5 hours
/ weekly
Ongoing
You must be in grades 9-12 as of September 2026 to apply for this position! As the Director of Software Development of Project WealthWise, you would be responsible for building and managing a centralized Digital Learning Hub for teaching gamified financial literacy lessons and courses, mostly based off of the existing Project WealthWise curriculum (although you may research to create your own educational content as well). This Hub would then be used by youth and individuals all over the world to learn about personal finance and master varying concepts. Although creating and constantly improving the Hub would be your main task, you may also explore additional technological initiatives to help accelerate our mission! Additionally, you would be in charge of leading, supervising and assigning tasks to your team of Software Developers to assist you with all technological work. This role requires expertise with coding and building platforms, along with working closely with the rest of the Executive Team. You should be comfortable with taking on a large leadership role, and communicating with many different people.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
As the Director of Software Development, you not only gain high school volunteer hours and experience, but you also hold the role of a monumental leadership position within a global youth-led organization! This not only helps massively with resume building, but also contributes to the development of skills such as leadership and communication which are vital for success in adulthood. You also get to build connections and network with other like-minded high schoolers!
