Volunteer Literacy Tutor

We are looking for volunteer tutors for our Community Adult Literacy Program. It's a great opportunity to make a difference in the life of an individual by supporting them with basic Reading, Writing or Numeracy. Volunteers meet with their learners one-on-one via ZOOM or in-person once a week to support them with their skills. There is ample flexibility around tutoring times and days. Program staff support you with teaching resources and a learning program to guide you in your work. Here are the dates for our upcoming training: Sat, March 23(Zoom): 9:30 am- 12:30 pm & Sat, April 6 (in-person): 9:30- 3:30 (light lunch provided) Volunteers are expected to commit to both training days in order to be considered for the opportunity. Last date for applications: Fri, Mar 15
Certification or Education Required
High School completion
