Form Filling Volunteers

Burnaby Neighborhood House is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as a Form Filling Volunteer! By becoming a volunteer support, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of seniors in Burnaby by creating a welcoming and friendly for residents

What You'll Do:
•	Help seniors (55+) complete any of the 6 forms (CPP, OAS, GIS, SAFER, Bus Pass, BC Housing) paper and online forms accurately
•	Provide guidance on what information is needed for specific applications
•	Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of all clients
•	Help seniors navigating resources in community
•	Provide drop-in support to individuals who may face language or literacy barriers

Skills, Experience, Qualifications Required
•	Must be 19 or older.
•	Respect for confidentiality and commitment to professionalism.
•	Must be friendly, reliable and patient, and enjoy helping and having conversations with people
•	Comfortable using computers and navigating online forms
•	Willingness to undergo a criminal record check.

Time Commitment
•	We are looking for regular and on call volunteers
•	3-6 months minimum commitment

All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application process with the Burnaby Neighbourhood House. This includes a volunteer application form, informal interview (10 mins), completing an online volunteer orientation (22 mins.), and policy form. Our Volunteer Drivers will be reimbursed for mileages driven.
