Burnaby Neighbourhood House is a community driven and community funded agency located on the unceded territories of the Tsleil-Wauthuth (səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ), Kwikwetlem (kʷikʷəƛ̓əm), Squamish (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw) and Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm) nations with a unique focus on neighbours supporting neighbours.

Currently we are recruiting for volunteers who are interested in doing light room set up and take down on program days, engage and socialize in conversations with housing residents and occasionally design simple program posters.

Time Commitment:
Tuesday or Thursday: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Stratford Garden - 6005 Pandora Street, Burnaby, BC

Thursday: 9 am to 1:30 pm
Byrne Creek Manor - 7101 14th Ave

Skills, Experience, Qualifications:
•	Compassionate and patient demeanor.
•	Respect for confidentiality and commitment to professionalism.
•	Must be friendly, reliable and patient, and enjoy helping and having conversations with people
•	Know how to use computer to design simple posters, laptop will be provided
•	Willingness to undergo a criminal record check.

All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application process with the Burnaby Neighbourhood House. This includes a volunteer application form, informal interview (10 mins), completing an online volunteer orientation (22 mins.), and policy form.
