Special Event Volunteer Newcomer Pathways to Employment and Self-Employment 2026

We are looking for six (6) enthusiastic volunteers to help make our Newcomer Pathways to Employment Conference a huge success! If you haven’t had a chance to volunteer with us yet, this is the perfect way to jump in—no full profile needed, just a short interview and some simple paperwork. You will be part of an amazing team, gain hands-on experience, and help support up to 300 participants at our largest event of the year! A short online orientation with the Event Manager will get you ready, and the invite link will be sent to you. The event poster is attached with more information. DATE: Wednesday, February 11th, 2025 TIME: 8.00am – 2.30pm (volunteers will be accepted only for assigned time slot) LOCATION: Ismaili Centre Vancouver ADDRESS: 4010 Canada Way, Burnaby. MANDATORY ORIENTATION: All selected volunteers must attend a short online orientation (15–20 minutes) with the Event Manager on Monday, February 9th, 2026 @5pm. • Guiding the participants to the entries, throughout the Ismaili Centre and for and to the Table layout of the Meeting Hall • Registration of participants and handing out materials of the event • Direct participants for the Five rotating entrepreneur workshop sessions • Setting up the Meeting Hall and Clean up • Serving food and refreshments to attendees • Crowd management • Unloading and loading event supplies If you are interested in volunteering, please contact a Coordinator of Volunteers at knogovitsina@burnabyfamilylife.org or 604-312-3243
