LINC Childcare Volunteer

Volunteers will work together with staff, in a licensed daycare, interacting with children from 18 month to school age in a multicultural environment while their parents taking LINC (English) programs. Volunteers will assist program staff in a licensed daycare with setting up the room with different activities, playing with children, and attending to the children’s physical needs. 

Location and hours: 
Program’s hours vary throughout the week depending on each schedule and location:

• 6907 Gilley Ave, Burnaby (Windsor Education Center) Mon to Thu 9:00am to 12:00pm
• 7355 Canada Way, Burnaby (Edmonds Resource Center) Mon to Thu 8:45am to 11:45am, or 12:30pm to 3:30pm.

Skills and Experience: 
• Experience working with young children is an asset
• Enjoy interacting and feel comfortable around young children
• Reliable and committed

Other requirements: 
• Good reference checks
•  Successful completion of criminal record check
•  19 years and up
• Minimum commitment of 2-3 months for 1 shift (2.5-3 hour) per week on a consistent day. Exceptions may apply.
