Victim Assistance Volunteer Program

The Victim Assistance Volunteer Program (VAVP) is a community based not-for-profit volunteer service. Volunteers are specially trained individuals who work in teams, to help victims cope during crisis situations. The VAVP assists the Burlington and Niagara O.P.P. by providing short-term practical and emotional support to individuals involved in fatal or serious motor vehicle collisions.

The money raised allows the program to maintain its liability insurance, provide continuous training for its volunteers, and, most importantly, offer 24-hour volunteer service to the O.P.P. officers and the communities they serve.
