Facilitator for community drumming/music circle
Exciting opportunity for musicians in our community, whether professional or self-taught to contribute their valuable skills to host weekly community drumming/music circle in Burlington, ON. over July-August 2026. Ideal for folks who have a background in any one or more of the following: 1.Music improvisation 2.Drumming 3.Instrumental music (guitar, ukulele, flute...) 4.Vocal (Acapela) 5.Percussion (Tambourine, Shakers, Marimba, Cymbals etc.) 6.Body Rhythmic Movement 7.Meditative Sound Bathing Additionally, would be considered an asset to have: • Experience leading or supporting beginner/community music groups. • Comfortable working with people of varying age groups, physical and mental abilities Ideal for: - Post -secondary students enrolled in music program such as community music, music therapy, mental health and music or community studies. -School age students who are part of their school bands -Individuals passionate about music and connecting with the community -Newcomers with music backgrounds looking to make new connections
Additional Details & Skills Required
Ideal for musically trained or inclined individuals residing in Halton and Peel Region or Hamilton. Sessions will be on weekdays (probably Fridays) late afternoons at a location in Burlington. Address and dates to be confirmed soon. Please contact Jennifer by email: infohive2021@gmail.com
Certification or Education Required
Background in community music theory, individual practice or music therapy would be an asset but not essential. Meditative sound bathing practitioner Experience in community drumming or any other percussion instrument.
