Our social skills program is intended to support neurodiverse children and youth in grades 2 to 8 who would like to develop their interpersonal social skills to build and foster friendships, understand conflict resolution, social cues, and non-verbal communication.
Location: Rotary Youth Centre
560 Guelph Line, Burlington
Day: Monday
Time: 4:45pm-7:30pm
Fall: October 20th, 2025 – December 19th, 2025
Volunteers are asked to arrive 15 minutes early and will support staff in running the program smoothly. This includes helping with student transitions, maintaining safety, and assisting with activities. Volunteers will work with facilitators to meet student needs, encourage positive behavior, and model supportive, pro-social conduct. They’ll also help track student progress and may take on other agreed-upon tasks.
Training is provided and is mandatory for ALL volunteers.
All volunteers must submit a clear Vulnerable Sector Check dated within the last 12 months. There is the possibility of supporting additional sessions, if mutually agreed upon.
