PA Day - Friendship Club Program Support
Description The Centre for Diverse Learners is excited to welcome volunteers to join our Friendship Club — a fun, interactive drop-in program designed to help children build social connections and practice friendship skills in a supportive environment. As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming space for children and families. Volunteers assist with set-up, participate in activities, encourage inclusive play, and help with clean-up at the end of each session. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with children, wants to gain experience in program support, and is passionate about fostering neurodiversity-affirming spaces. Location: 560 Guelph Line, Burlington, ON L7R 3M4 The program runs from 8:45 AM – 11:15 AM [Program delivery time - 9 AM - 11 AM] on the following dates: Friday, October 10, 2025 Friday, November 28, 2025 Monday, January 26, 2026 Friday, February 13, 2026 Friday, April 24, 2026 Friday, June 5, 2026 Volunteers are asked to arrive 15–30 minutes early to assist with set-up and stay briefly afterward to help tidy up. Please Include in your application which days you are available!
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Volunteers will gain hands-on experience working with children in a supportive environment, develop leadership and program facilitation skills, and contribute to creating a more inclusive community. It’s also a chance to connect with like-minded volunteers and make a meaningful difference in the lives of neurodiverse learners.
