Make a Difference in the Lives of Neurodiverse Students! Become a Math Program Volunteer Location: Reach Out Centre For Kids | 702 Surrey Lane, Burlington, ON L7T 3S6 Time: Wednesday (4:30 PM - 7:30 PM) Duration: Now until June 6th, 2025 Are you passionate about helping students achieve their potential? Join our team as a Math and Literacy Program Volunteer and make a meaningful impact in the lives of students in grades 2–8! Role Description As a volunteer, you will work under the supervision of an educator to: - Support program delivery and contribute to a positive learning environment. - Ensure a safe environment that fosters well-being and achievement. - Assist with tasks such as drop-off and pick-up, providing body breaks to students as needed, and working one-on-one with students requiring additional support in math or literacy. Qualifications We’re looking for individuals with: - Experience in tutoring or a background in math or literacy. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Requirements: - A clear Vulnerable Sector Check dated within the last 12 months. - Completion of mandatory volunteer training. - A positive attitude and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Training Provided: Comprehensive training will ensure you feel confident and prepared to support students. Reference Letters: Volunteers who complete the program will receive a reference letter highlighting their contributions and skills. Opportunity for Future Involvement: Volunteers may have the option to support additional sessions if mutually agreed upon.
