Carpenter Hospice
Opened in May 2002, Carpenter Hospice is a non-profit healthcare organization offering palliative programs, services, and end-of-life care in the Greater Burlington community. It is a member of the Burlington Ontario Health Team (BOHT). The Hospice is a peaceful home away from home for individuals in need of palliative care support. It is located in a serene, park-like setting within a quiet neighbourhood. It includes 11-bedroom suites, a centralized nursing care station, a spa, a kitchen, gathering spaces and quiet rooms. We offer in-hospice care for people in the final stages of life, as well as community-based programs for those living with life-limiting illnesses or navigating grief. In our care, residents spend their final days surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity in a meaningful, supportive environment.
The Hospice's interprofessional teams provide compassionate, supportive palliative care that is client-centered, holistic, and culturally sensitive. Providing care and comfort is a priority when a cure is not possible. Volunteers are at the heart of Carpenter Hospice. They bring warmth, compassion, and a strong sense of community and connection to everything we do. Trained and dedicated, our volunteers work alongside staff to provide meaningful support to residents, families, and community members.
