Join us at the City of Burlington's Food for Feedback event to help visitors get their waste into the correct places. Make a big impact on the Earth by joining our Event Green Ambassadors team and raising awareness about composting and recycling. Keeping items out of the landfill reduces greenhouse gases! 📅 Date: Sat., September 12, 2026 🕒Time: 11:30 am - 4:00 pm 📍Location: Central Park (2299 New Street; next to the Burlington Library Central Branch) This is an outdoor event that runs rain or shine. If you sign up, please be prepared to work rain or shine. We ask volunteers to commit to attend. To sign-up, please complete this form: https://forms.gle/2nZpxeirVhApZrTL7 ✅Volunteer Tasks may include: • Assisting with set up or take down • Serving as a friend BG Ambassador who helps direct event attendees on where to put their waste (recycling, compost, or garbage) • Limited waste handling (litter pickers and gloves provided) • Litter clean-up on the site (litter pickers, gloves and bucket provided) • Other tasks as needed Accommodation requests You will be standing for periods of time (okay to bring a folding chair if needed).
