STEM Canada is a registered not for profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Volunteer Researcher to join our volunteer team. The Volunteer will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner. The role involves a high degree of independence and the ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team. The volunteer will have a passion for research, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting research on a wide range of topics related to the organization's goals and objectives.
- Designing and developing research plans, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting findings for our website
- Conducting literature reviews and staying up-to-date with current research in the field.
- Presenting research findings in written and oral formats to various audiences.
- Collaborating with colleagues and external partners to develop research proposals and secure funding for research projects.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in conducting research, including designing and implementing research projects, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting findings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in using statistical software and other tools for data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of research ethics and responsible conduct of research.
