Volunteer - Neuroscience Teacher

STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program specializing in advanced STEM-based educational curricula that emphasize the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school, with a mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, preparing students for globally competitive results.

Position Overview

The Neuroscience Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching introductory neuroscience courses, assisting with labs, discussions, and student support.

Key Responsibilities

•	Teaching and Lead online discussion sessions, hold office hours, and assist with 
         course materials on neuroscience topics.
•	Grading: Grade assignments and exams related to neuroscience content.
•	Lab sessions with virtual labs and neurobiology demonstrations.
•	Student Support: Answer questions and provide clarifications on complex 
        neuroscience topics.

Qualifications

•	Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related field; graduate students 
        preferred.
•	Strong understanding of neurobiology, brain structure and function, and  
        neurophysiology.
•	Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
•	Strong communication and organizational skills.
