Volunteer - Human Anatomy and Physiology Tutor

STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program specializing in an advanced, STEM-based educational curriculum emphasizing the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Time commitment: 4 hours per week

Position Overview:

The Human Anatomy and Physiology Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching undergraduate anatomy and physiology courses, conducting laboratory sessions, and assisting students with course material. 

Key Responsibilities:

•	Conduct and supervise Human Anatomy and Physiology laboratory sessions
•	Teaching lectures and associated lab classes
•	Prepare equipment and materials for specific labs
•	Grade assignments, lab reports, and exams
•	Hold regular office hours to assist students
•	Maintain laboratory safety and cleanliness
•	Assist in preparing course materials and lab exercises

Qualifications:

•	Bachelor's degree in Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, or a related field; Master's degree 
        preferred
•	Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
•	Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•	Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus
•	Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
•	Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and anatomical models
•	Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
